Gary has over 35 years of sales and marketing experience in Northeast Wisconsin and areas throughout the Midwest. A licensed realtor, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1967 with a BS in business and psychology. Next, Gary served in the Army, was stationed in Seoul, South Korea, and was honorably discharged in 1969.
Gary has built an exceptional network of business connections that are invaluable in business brokerage. He owned his own ad agency for over 25 years, which had 16 employees. As a result, he understands firsthand the process of owning and selling a business and all the factors that are involved. After helping him sell his advertising business, Michael Schwantes, CEO, encouraged him to come on board with CBS-Global, and the rest is history.
Gary is eager to guide clients through an exit strategy or help them locate a business to buy. His past clients will confirm that he has built a reputation as a client-centric “bulldozer.” He always goes the extra mile for his clients and diligently works to help them through the buying and selling process. A true communicator and seasoned leader, Gary knows how to successfully put deals together.
During his career, Gary has been involved in manufacturing and distribution, selling a wholesale company, and representing companies in the tool and die industry. He has broad experience in a variety of industries, including agricultural manufacturing and related services. He has also assisted in selling commercial real estate, including a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
He is an avid bird hunter, skier, and sailor. These hobbies and activities have taught him a heightened level of patience, which combines elegantly with his ability to listen and read body language. These factors are invaluable in the business brokerage industry.
Gary is married with three children and has two grandchildren. He was the original drummer in the Vibratones, one of Green Bay’s first and most popular rock and roll bands. Gary is also the founder of the Art Garage, which is a 501c3 art gallery and performance center in Green Bay.
